of obsession #1

oh no. my obsession with weddings is clawing its way back. i spent at least 3 hours looking through all the albums on oncewed.com. you HAVE to check them out. so charming and brilliant and absolutely beautiful! it makes me die and cry. and also ridiculously excited and inspired. look ==> http://www.oncewed.com/real-weddings/.

my husband will marry me in a bowler hat
(this one was great gatsby themed! brilliant)

imnineteenimnineteenimnineteenimnineteenimnineteenimnineteenimnineteen.

i can still look at them... ok? also im going to be a wedding planner. nothing on today. i will probably look at wedding photos. i have to prepare myself, its a challenging industry. this will be a good day.

wheres is my camera? hurry mr mail man. [please note my alliteration] [i kind of like the look of these square brackets]

of trifle

there will be an easter party. and there will be broiled grapefruit and eggs benedict. and there will be dying of eggs. and best of all, there will be trifle!

its very exclusive.
(i hope di has a trifle dish)

of crockpot curry

it turns out that curry is not that easy to make. and (although we knew this before we started) shouldn't be made in a crock pot. at least it smelled pretty! my next adventure? homemade bread.

its starting to get light when i walk to work in the mornings. this will probably mean that i will get up more often in time to wash my hair. its easier to get up when its light. but even though im semi-regretting my haircut, short hair is much much easier to deal with!

a new frozen yogurt place opened up close to home, so me and andrew and jeff welcomed them in. however, nothing fantastically special. their flavors were good (omg. red velvet cake with frosting) and the toppings were fine (no cheesecake bits..waah). i think yozone wins. we will find the best one in provo. there are SO MANY. its the cool new thing, apparently. but i just like how these places are set up becuase you get to put as much (and as many flavors of) yogurt and whatever toppings (even if andrew doesnt think fruity pebbles should go on frozen yogurt) and then they just weigh it! it is also bad. when you get a six dollar one.

time for jam on toast!

of new babies. rrrrg.

last night jeff and andrew and i went over to andrews brothers house to meet baby phoebe. she was like five days old. and very red and wrinkled and naked. like a bean. i held her during dinner (i ate salmon. applaud) and couldnt stop looking at how WEIRD babies are. like tiny, ancient and dried out, face-making raisins. i could wait 10 or 40 years before i have one.

also, i really dont like sweet hearts. we have a million left over from valentines day. they make this tums flavored froth that takes over your mouth for longer than it should.

a girl from petco called a few days ago and begged me to come back and work! it was so sweet of them to call me and let me know i was appreciated. not that anything could ever push me .36 of an inch toward ever working there again.

hope everything is brilliant home. im sure youre having a better dinner than eggs on toast (thats actually pretty good) <3

ps. ice skating is on tonight!

of skipping classes

i promise i didnt skip important classes.

as inspired by iron chef, im determined to cook more. but that means i have to spend less on groceries, and more on ingredients that can only be used for one fantastic dish (unless im really thrifty). last night andrew, jeff (andrew's tall, orange roommate) and i made a "good dinner". white rice, frozen vegetables, chicken and soy sauce. not so satisfying when im used to home's (and nicole's) extravagant, sumptuous concoctions. i'm coming to join you guys as a gastronome (word of the day) at the table of good cooking. one day.

by the way, i started this blog a few days ago, first inspired by the bloggy world.

also, figure skating is the only thing i can bear watching in the winter olympics. and the medal ceremonies. but how do they move like that? and look so good in spandex? man. should i pursue it as a chef? or an ice skater?

of thailand?

this blog is really for when i go to thailand (more interesting things will be happening in my life then...like petting TIGERS and riding ELEPHANTS) so i don't know why im gracing it with useless events and information now. however, walking to work before the sun comes up is lovely, especially with my earmuffs (thanks mom) and my glittens (thanks santa..although i dont think white is ever a good color for me to have). also lifewater, i love very much. who knew sobe could be so chic (sheek) and calorieless? and thankfully colorless, because i just spilled

of rain

today was the most beautiful day. the perfect amount of cloud and rain to make everything look and smell pretty. i spent it in salt lake with good food (settebello. marry me) and excellent people. pictures will come... the mother is sending my digital camera in the mail so the blog will be much more fun to look at.

on a different note. here is my promise.
i will grow out my hair. all the way. until it looks like this.

i promise! ok?

of chicken tikka masala

skipping class for $9.99 indian buffet is also always a good thing. most people should go here! yes, thankyou, please. pictures will follow soon.

of shep

skipping class for a haircut is always a good thing. me and shep are involved. romantically.
