i must say, cathay outdid herself. 15 hours was made possible, nay, ENJOYABLE thanks to many things.
first - 100s of movies (im sad to say i only took advantage of 'i love you, man'. regret.) 100s of tv shows (thank you rachel, ross, monica, chandler, joey, phoebe) and 100s of games (although i did try to get street fighter to load for hours. im still mad. seriously. how awesome would streetfighter ten thousand feet in the air above china be? man.)
second- 'cup noodles' at extremely early hours of the morning. for future ref, ramen tastes best at 2am handed over by a smiling waitress.
third- i slept for 10 hours of it
and i sat next to two teenaged hong kongians who did not say a word but made sure i had all the moist toilettes, cups of water and head phones that i needed. arrigato. just kidding, im going to look that up.
唔該. if only i knew that during my flight. and how to read it.
the air in china (im in CHINA!) is delcious. its so sticky it slips down your throat. which is a step above airplane air. i felt like i was in someones moist, warm, odory mouth for the last few hours of the flight. but now my teeth are brushed and my armpits smell like vanilla, so im ready to go. im a little disoriented. but apparently its 8:18am which means my plane leaves in 20 minutes for singapore! and it continues.
my view of hongkong as we landed. im going to die of overexposure to everything beautiful.
ahhhh! i am so dang excited for you! You are going to have the time of your life! i can't wait to here every little detail! I love you dear
