sawadti ka! in case you didnt know. i, margo meyer, am in thailand. and it is the most amazing place i have ever been. its dirty, friendly and 6000 degrees and all i can say is, thank you dad. already i can feel provo being sucked from my veins with every bite of sticky rice. invigorating. i live in a house (you will be introduced in a second) 20 or so km from chiang mai city, and so internet is a rare delicacy. but since i have this rare opportunity. meet-
my siblings poo, pee and pim(for real).
the first night i flew in, they welcomed me by screaming in thai and throwing a gecko and its (detached) tail down my shirt.
this is our house where me and another girl live with tu (mom), poopoopim, uncle nikon, and an older couple who speak absolutely no english and laugh when i dont understand thai. which is all the time. the facilitators for our group call this the 'princess house' as it has walls, toilets (no toilet paper.apparently this country does not believe in paper touching the skin = butt sprayers, no napkins), showers and window panes.
this is uncle nikon. he tried to hide his cigarette for the picture cause hes does 'naughty old men things' like smoking. and buddha knows what else. he speaks the most english and has a scooter i spend alot of time on the back of. there is nothing in the world like scooter rides through the thai countryside. oh my gosh.
nam chok and nam tan. i think they have fleas
and this is auntie old lady. shes very wise. ( i have yet to take a picture of, or talk to her shirtless husband. i only catch glimpses of him at ridiculous hours in the morning)
they are all very pleased to meet you
oh my goodness. I love every part of this post. poo pee and pim? for real. hahah I love it! I miss you dearly. I am so excited for you and especially to hear more about it when you return. i love you lots. give jacob a BIG hug for me at church!
